Randolph-Macon Academy offers residential and day camps for students in grades six through twelve. The Academy is located on 135 acres with mountain views to the east and west. The Shenandoah River and the famous Skyline Drive are nearby. The overnight facilities include air- conditioned dorm rooms, with two campers sharing a room. Middle School Academic Camp This camp is for rising sixth through eighth grade students for overnight campers, and rising fifth through eighth graders for day campers. Students participate in four academic sessions in the morning, which this year will center around the theme "Space Exploration & Investigation." During the afternoons, evenings and weekends, students may participate in on- campus activities such as arts and crafts, dodge ball, basketball, soccer, or swimming, or go off- campus for laser tag, rafting, bowling, movies, or amusement park trips.

This camp is offered as a two-week session June 30-July 12 and July 14-26, and as a four-week session June 30-July 26. Staying on campus during the weekends is optional. Upper School Summer School The summer school program, for students in grades 9-12, lasts four weeks (June 30-July 26) and provides students with one full high school credit a new core course, or students may opt to re-take two courses to improve a grade, strengthen their skills, or as a review to help prepare for an SAT subject test. Classes are held from 8:00 am to approximately 3:45 p.m. After a study hall time and dinner, students enjoy various evening activities, such as bowling, movies, swimming, and on- campus sports. English as a Second Language English as a Second Language English as a Second Language is available to residential students entering grades six through twelve in the fall. After an intense day of studying and classwork, students have time to interact with English-speaking students during meals and activities.

They also go on local field trips and learn about American culture. Students stay in age-appropriate dorms and attend the weekend trips. This full immersion course runs June 30-July 26. Flight Camp The Flight Camp is a four-week program (June 30-July 26) that provides flight time in a Cessna 172, practice on a state-of-the-art flight simulator, work with unmanned aerial vehicles, and field trips to museums, airfields, and corporations to learn about career opportunities in the aviation world.

Summer Focus - rising 11th-12th grade students

In this 6-week program, entering junior and senior high school students earn college credit, receive an invaluable introduction to college, and enjoy a variety of recreational excursions - all while making new friends and living in a structured, supervised environment. Students take one or more UC Berkeley courses (up to eight units of transferable college credit), and also have access to elective courses through Education Unlimited such as SAT preparation, college-level writing, public speaking, creative writing, and journalism.

Tuition for this program includes: UC Berkeley class fees, room & board on campus, all recreational excursions, on-site tutoring staff and academic support, elective courses, round the clock staff on-site and access to UC Berkeley campus safety resources.

Summer Focus Enrichment - rising 9th - 12th grade students
