This class allows you to develop a game concept that goes well beyond the limitations of the traditional 2D game design classes. Students will learn the physics behind 3D games, explore beginner event scripting, level design, controlling flow of gameplay, and storytelling. Student-created games will be available on a password protected website to share with friends and family.

Scholarships Available!

9:00am-12:00pm for 8-11 year olds

1:00-4:00pm for 11-14 year olds

UW-Parkside invites your middle-school kids (entering grades 6-8) to spend a full week learning in a fun hands-on adventure into natural science alongside UW-Parkside science professors as they explore the natural environment of southeast Wisconsin. Your child will have the opportunity to participate in exciting activities such as kayaking, geocaching, wildlife research, habitat studying, using microscopes and much more. Spark a life-long passion for nature and an understanding of environmental issues that impact our natural resources in your child!

If you love the game Minecraft, but always wanted to design your own characters and buildings for your games, this class is for you! Learn the basics of creating 3D models using a new software to design your very own objects, create skins for characters, and import them into your favorite Minecraft games. To access their project at home, students must own a PC/MAC version of Minecraft. Tablet, phone, and game console version of Minecraft are not compatible.
